A Great Day for North Caldwell!

Did you see the rainbow in North Caldwell yesterday? Almost 900 people came together to run for North Caldwell. We enjoyed the good fortune of a beautiful day for the 5K Run and Color Mile to benefit the North Caldwell Recreation Foundation. As Vice President of the North Caldwell Recreation Foundation, Anthony Floria-Callori was delighted to see the overwhelming community support for the months of planning by the committee that went into making the event a success.

The North Caldwell Recreation Foundation, a private non-profit organization, was born out of a grassroots effort of citizens of the Borough who believed North Caldwell could do better to improve the recreational facilities of the town, including the fields. The Foundation envisioned a turf field and recreational space to match the caliber of our town. Yesterday residents saw the culmination of the Foundation’s efforts at the Grand Opening of the Turf Field at Liberty Park.

The Foundation worked hard to make the Turf Field a reality. The swell of community pride we felt yesterday because of the hard work of the volunteer members of the Foundation is proof of the great things we can accomplish when we work together and not view those who question the status quo as “complainers” or “threats” to the establishment. Ultimately, new voices are good for any organization.

As Anthony and Ted have stated before, it is their goal to find ways to tap into the talents and enthusiasm of the residents of North Caldwell to work with them, as Council members, to make North Caldwell the very best community it can be. The work of the North Caldwell Recreation Foundation is a shining of example of what we can accomplish together as a community. Anthony and Ted believe in you, and we hope you believe in them!
